Canadian Electronic Library Collection

The Canadian Electronic Library (CEL) collection consists of four resources, originally accessed through the ebrary digital library:

  • Canadian Health Research Collection (CHRC) (all titles from 2005 to 2013; unlimited users)
  • Canadian Public Policy Collection (CPPC) (all titles from 2005 to 2013; unlimited users)
  • Canadian Publishers Collection (CPC) (199 titles; 4 user licence)
  • Irwin Law (125 titles; 4 user licence)

These collections were originally accessed through ProQuest's ebrary digital library. In July of 2016, these collections became available on CEL's own platform, desLibris, and as of March 5th, 2017 they will no longer be available through ProQuest (ebrary/Ebook Central).

All colleges have perpetual access to these collections. However, after 5 years of free hosting, CEL introduced a hosting fee for unlimited user access in 2019. Access limited to three concurrent users continues to be free of charge.
